The replacement spring was for Conair Model CD102J. I purchased the heavier gage 1 inch spring (#1002). The original spring was the thinner gage which I did not know until I was able to compare the two springs side by side. The one inch size was correct for this model.
I feel the thinner gage spring (#1005) would have been a better choice however, because the heavier gage wire forced me to open the screw holding the "spring-clamp" to the heating tube a greater amount. The spring-clamp may have smaller slots for thinner spring prongs.
Thus it was difficult to tighten down the spring-clamp bracket over larger spring prongs. Once the curling iron was assembled I realized the spring had shifted sideways because the prongs could not be clamped down tight enough to prevent any shifting off center. The curling iron is still workable with the spring askew, but will not open up fully as a result.
To reassemble I used tape to hold the plastic washers in place on either side of the curling iron heat tube before placing the curling iron clamp bar onto the heating tube. Then while holding the pieces together I wrapped the curling iron in a cloth and clamped it in a vice grip pliers to hold the pieces together. I replaced the screws on either side of the curling iron. The cloth prevented scratches in the curling iron from the pliers.
If I had to do this again, I would definitely use the thinner gage spring (#1005) for a better fit and not worry about how long the spring would last.

Hello, I have a Conair ¾” barrel curling iron. I can’t find the Model number on the iron. I installed the spring just fine as I have done it many times before. I appreciate you having a website for replacement parts. The spring fits great and I have used it for about a week.
Thank you!

Thank you for offering these springs (#1009). The store where I purchased the curling iron told me to just claim my warranty & get a whole new iron. There was nothing wrong but the broken spring!!! The spring fits perfectly & was easy to replace. I found your website quickly & received the springs in 4 days. Good luck with your business - would be up a creek without it!!

My curling iron is a Conair model # CD87S ( I think, can't find my magnifying glass) the spring (#1005) fit and worked great very easy to install, I went on YouTube and found a video that showed step by step how to do it, it was very simple video. Postage was almost twice the cost of the spring but was worth it. Arrived in 3 days

The model number of my iron is Conair CD81J. (Spring 1001) However, your mailing fee is unnecessarily expensive. It does not cost $4 to send something that small.
Kate M.
*** The $4.00 charge for shipping and handling, is because the shipped package is thicker than 1/4 inch, and the Post Office forces us into a higher pricing bracket of $2.62 which includes tracking. The Post Office also requires us to have a padded outer envelope and an inner envelope so the spring legs don't punch through the package. The Post office will kick the packages back to us if we try using just a stamp. ***

Thank you!!! My feedback so far: I have a Conair Infiniti blue curling iron. I have ordered this spring (#1005) from you in the past. Probably a few years ago? The installation was super easy but the spring broke again. So I don't know the life of a spring but this will now be the third one for my curling iron. I will say, however, I use mine about 5 times a week so I really give mine a workout. Super fast shipping. My hair thanks you!

Thank you for you email. The springs (#1007) have since been received and installed successfully.
The curling iron is a Paul Mitchell model C15NA.
Springs are easily installed using a small Phillips head screwdriver to remove the iron handle and the old broken spring then fit the new replacement spring provided. Once the new spring is screwed into place refit the handle and fasten screws. The iron can then be used as normal.

Nigel P.

Happy to let you know about your spring (#1006). The Model is a Pro Beauty Tool, Model No. PBIR1880 I have a favorite curling iron which when I bought it I thought it was quite expensive and really good quality. Years later the clasp became stiff and wouldn't grip so that my hair slipped right through and the iron was unusable. When I asked my hair guru, she knew immediately it must be the spring. I tried to find them locally without any luck so I looked on line. When I found Replacement Springs, I knew I had found the right place. Their pictures are accurate and instructions perfectly understandable. Ordering was easy and delivery prompt. Following those instructions, I ordered two of my springs and when they came, they fit perfectly. Disassembling and reassembling the curling iron was really easy and quick. Now I have my favorite iron back! Yahoo!!!

Thanks Shaun! We received the springs the other day. I installed them on my wife's curling iron a couple of days ago. They are 1" springs (#1006). The clamp used to attach them to the iron is narrower than the spring, so I had to squeeze them together a bit to get them to fit in the clamp. But once installed they work as advertised. I've included a picture so you can see what I mean, I hope.
Thanks again!

The brand of the curling iron I am repairing is Brazilian Heat - After Dark Titanium by Belson Products, model BBH3105. The spring 1009 is the best fit. The 1003 is a little long but will also work just fine. The 1007 would be a good fit if I clip off the curved prong tips. My wife really likes this iron and says it is as good as new. Very easy to install with an ordinary phillips screwdriver. Happy wife, happy life! Glad you are making these springs available. Fast shipping and great service.
Thanks,

Excellent customer service, well made replacement springs, and the video clip at the website on how to replace the spring was easy to follow! Also there were some awesome testimonials showing how to replace the spring. I was looking at buying replacement springs from Sally's Beauty Supply first. But thank goodness I found this website instead! MUCH MUCH better quality springs! Will definitely last twice as long or more versus buying elsewhere!

Ordered Several springs for my daughters Paul Mitchell C10NA curling Iron. Springs ordered were #1001, #1002 and #1006. They all work great. The #1001 is just like the original spring. The #1002 and #1006 are heavier springs that take a bit more pressure to open. All fit the iron, worked great and my daughter is very happy. Extremely easy to install, took every bit of 2 minutes.
Thanks,
David S.

Hello! I received my 2 curling iron springs today! It wasn't until today that I was able to locate the actual model number on my curling iron, and I could be wrong, but I don't see it listed on your curling iron model number list.
I have a Conair Infiniti Pro model number CD410TPX. I ordered spring 1005, and it fits beautifully! I have arthritis in my hands, and I was still able to install the spring fairly easily! I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to hold the clip on while I put the screws in once I had the new spring installed, and it took a little doing, but it was easier than I thought it was going to be!
I have two of these curling irons (two different sizes barrels) and I love them! It's really nice to be able to replace the spring instead of having to buy a new curling iron! I'm so glad I did an Internet search on "curling iron replacement spring" and found you guys! I'd recommend you to anyone who has a broken curling iron spring!
Thank you so much!

Just to say thank you for an excellent all round service. The springs (#1005) arrived today and fitted very easily. The first set of tongs were bought some years ago but the spring failed and I was unable to find a replacement. Because I liked these tongs I was fortunate to be able to buy another pair of the same in an end of line sale. After some time the spring in these also failed. As there was nothing else wrong with them I kept both pairs hoping at some point to buy new springs. I am so pleased to have been able to purchase these from you. Really appreciated. Thank you very much. The tongs in question are REVLON INSTANT HEAT: TYPE CD 81 REF 9203 230V - 240V 50Hz 85W

I just purchased spring #1007 for my BaByliss Pro curling iron, 1 and one quarter inch barrel, model #BABC125SC. Had to work with it a bit, but is now installed and works great!!
Theresa U.
*** All of the other BaByliss Pro's similar to this curling iron take a 1" spring. Be sure to measure your old spring. We are not sure the #1007 which is a 1-1/4" spring is the right spring for this iron until we get more people to confirm it. The barrel size of the curling iron does not mean the spring size. ***

I received the spring (#1005) today and immediately did the install. To prevent any confusion in position of the studs and the steel wire support frame, it is best to make a snapshot image of the curling iron prior to disassembly. This is just my general recommendation. I would suggest a Sears Craftsman tool #41796 as a screw-driver. What I have is a Conair corporation of East Windsor, NJ 08520 – Curling Iron- Model- CD87Z
This Conair is exactly 20 years old. Photos are attached. One of the arms of the original spring snapped, so it needed a replacement.
Disassembly steps:
1. Retract steel supporting wire frame sideways
2. Studs and metal tongue come loose
3. Partially loosen the screw holding the spring retaining plate (just enough to slide in the new spring)
4. Put in new spring
5. Reassemble Overall disassembly- assembly time- 3 to 5 minutes.
I Sincerely hope this helps. Photos are attached.
Best,
NP

Hi, I received the springs (#1009) today. Although the legs are about 1/4 inch shorter than the originals, the spring fits and the tongs now function well. The tongs are Babyliss Pro Type 17K Ref: BAB2243U.

I installed the spring (1006) today in my wife’s Hot Tools Model 1102 curling iron. It works very well. I’m glad to see the roller is stainless steel which should wear longer than the original brass. I did order an extra spring. Great service from your company. Received it in 4 days after ordering. Thank you,

I put the new spring in a Conair Infinite Pro curling iron. It was easy to install and it works fine. The new spring (#1009) is heavier than the old one and more than 1 1/8” long but it still worked great. Thank you for the great price and the fast shipment.

I have a Power IQ 1” barrel curling iron. Can’t see the model number as it’s worn off. I purchased the 1001 spring and my husband easily installed the new spring in about 5 minutes. So glad to find a source for replacing springs in irons. In the 70’s we would have loved to have a source to get replacement springs. In those days would have to buy new irons.

Just wanted to let you know the replacement springs work great in my curling irons. I bought the #1009 springs and put them in 2 Helen of Troy regular 3/4 professional curling irons. Model 1501N. New springs are tighter than originals so more clamping power! Great for my super straight hair.
Thanks for saving my irons with a simple fix.

The No.1004 works very well in the VS183 Vidal Sassoon model. The open ends of the spring are long enough so they slide into the holes in the frame and stay in place. The No. 1005 is a little short in the open end portion, so the spring tends to slide out of the holes in the frame easily. It can be made to work but isn't quite as reliable or easy to install as the 1004.

I am so excited I found you!!!! I have a 1 1/2 Barrel Black and white Hot Tools. I found my curling Iron on your chart HTBW46 1 1/2 in- 1002, 1" spring.
Thankfully it came quicker than I thought. And was easy to install! You just need a screwdriver!
I am so happy. I love this curling Iron and it was so sad when it broke. My boyfriend had suggested that I find a replacement spring. I had no idea something like this even existed.
Thank you for Not price gouging. I live in Los Angeles and everything is so expensive! It was so nice not to have to drive around in traffic and figure out what curling iron I could afford.
You guys made my year! I get to keep my curling Iron and my hair thanks you too!

The spring (#1005) worked great in my Conair Instant Heat curling iron. Sorry. I couldn't find a model number. Do you know where that would be located if it's somewhere on the curling iron? Also, please respond to this email so you know you got it.
Thank you very much! The curling iron works as good as new again.

Spring (Item# 1005) was an exact match of the original for Conair model CD82S and easy to install. They appear far more durable than the originals, and delivery was super-fast.
Very pleased!!!
Tips: 1) Measurements matter. I had temporarily replaced the broken spring with one only slightly different from my wife’s other curling iron (Revlon). It fit (barely), but kept slipping to the side, rendering the appliance useless.
2) After fastening the spring on the heating element with the one screw, secure the handle in position against the tension of the spring with a zip tie or the like while securing the two screws that hold it in place. It’ll make installation simpler.

I used spring #1004 in a Vidal Sassoon VS105. It seemed a little wide, but I made it fit and it works fine. I had thrown out the original spring when it broke because I didn't know about your site at that time, so I wasn't able to measure it. I had to estimate the size using just the curling iron. Thanks! I'm so happy that I didn't have to throw this in the landfill!
(I haven't used #1005 yet. I got it as a back-up to another old curling iron for when that spring breaks.)

I replaced the spring (#1002) and am quite happy with it. I have replaced the spring before but the other springs I used were too wimpy. It is a 1 inch mist curling iron. I will tell my friends about your company becasue I am quite happy with everything :-).
